Right from the beginning of my life a certain way (my way) of approaching things seemed different. When I was a child I often wondered why I seemed to bring unrest to people or certain situations (like at school).

Nowadays, I would rather consider this to be “the gaze of the owl” – the owl, being particularly gifted at seeing in the dark, at seeing things that others miss, or which they may even want to overlook. And this, of course, can alarm and frighten other people. Often, I don’t even have to say or do anything – just being present is enough…

It’s a gift, my gift. And I use it now to help people and the world around me heal, and to become whole again. When I first encountered shamanism in North and Central America, I soon realised that I had already been doing a lot of this kind of work for a while, but that I just hadn’t had a name for it, and didn’t know what various techniques and practices were called. But since I displayed an instinctive understanding and aptitude, it never took long until shamans and I started working together as equals. I was often amazed to discover how much I already knew.

This kind of work (and the process of writing is part of it, because it helps me focus and raise awareness of certain connections) means working between the worlds; it is working in our world, but also in worlds that our senses cannot grasp. This work requires a lot of time, peace, and concentration, which is why I like to leave Europe in the winter, and seek out places where energy fields are quite balanced (such as Canada’s West Coast) to dedicate myself to my task.

Magda was born in Austria in 1961, and studied theology at Salzburg University. She worked as a teacher and in youth work on a national and international level. After an accident in 1987, Magda spent many years in a wheelchair. During this time, she studied German Literature, Sociology, and Philosophy in a correspondence course at Hagen University in Germany, and founded the Austrian Association for Correspondence Course Students which she chaired for 4 years. Magda has worked as an editor for a publisher, and for university students.

Magda has studied various holistic healing methods and alternative therapies, such as Chinese Acupuncture, shiatsu, spine therapy, massage, kinesiology, Three-in-one concepts, energy work, … Since 1996, she has been active in spiritual and healing work with clients and groups in Austria and Canada.

Following a dream, Magda embarked on her Maya Resonance project in 1997/1998. The main project topics are the life of the Mayans in present times, their prophecies, calendar wisdom, and the social changes based on this knowledge. Magda has published a number of books, developed this website, and produced films and calendars.
